CJ Ferguson

I'm a writer based in Glasgow. 

I've been writing for many years, alongside working full time in various roles, playing music (guitar and fiddle), doing an OU degree in astronomy,  teaching English in Greece and Russia for a while. And doing anything else that either adds to life experience for writing, or works as a tool for procrastination! I currently work in elderly mental health and dementia wards, which I enjoy more than I would have imagined. 

I've had a few short stories published, including one in New Writing Scotland and one long-listed for the Bridport Prize. More recently though, I've been working mostly on novels. My most recent one, Initiative Road, was a finalist in the Bloody Scotland Pitch Perfect competition in 2023. It's the intended first in a triology.

I also have two unpublished ones, which I'm less sure are traditionally publishable but I may self publish at some point.

My latest procrastination/life experience tool is a wee Renaul Trafic I've had made into a campervan, so books 2 and 3 may be dependent on what experiences happen next, and whether book 1 is ever picked up by anyone. 

My writing is mostly contemporary and dark, but with a twist of humour.
